I read through lots of novels, most of the time dropping them after 1.5k chapters due to various reasons. Pretty much just skim the rest and read the dialogues, works just fine on very bs writers who likes go by word counts than quality writings esp the ones with massive stats like "all attributes martial dao".

mhm dont you love those authors that creates names for a technique that is like 8 characters long, and in a fight scene both the main character will shout them out, like "Flaming Heaven's Hand of the Dragon" then followed by the villain's "Black Demonic Frost Protective Shield" and of course the author will explain how the techniques works, and it goes on with various techniques same explanation lol

Correct, everytime they used a skill and have to shout out a paragraph long name is a complete waste of time. Actually the worst is in the middle of a fight and the writer decided to mention the background information like it's a football game pulling back what they did 3 days ago on the other fight. Or even worst, writers act like the novel is a TV show and started writing like it's jumping in commercial ads. You're writing a book for Christ sake, there's a beginning, a conflict, and an end. Everything else watering down your drinks, soups, and gas tank.

lol yes I read novels like that before, think it was either Martial Peak or Peerless Martial God or maybe even both, they fight then use a skill, and then for some inexplicable reason, the author writes about something about the surrounding or something that happen in the past like when the main character learned that skill or something about how he rescued someone using that skill or how he dual cultivated with someone.
Enough fluff already just get to the point and finish the fight. I think I also gave up reading Peerless Martial Spirit (not the same one as Peerless Martial God) the one that is still ongoing and is animated into a donghua, everything is repetitive, lose friends and loved ones, gets beaten by villains or villains are rescued by some one strong, manages to kill a villain but a new one comes, likes to get himself into trouble by sticking his nose into things he shouldnt (yes I have to get my master's inheritance cause well I am his disciple, then gives the inheritance away but creates more enemies but yeah who cares right cause I wanted to inherit my master's inheritance - huh?)

Mhm... Peerless martial god, my first Chinese novel and probably what sets the base on all novels. Mixture of harem, dual martial souls, initial families broken up(honestly lin Feng s father is a more likeable character than tang hao). Lin Feng is soo broken that the writer has to limit him through plots and day abandoned. Meng qing, a smarter xiaowu. Tang you you , the rich sidekick girlfriend. Yi renlei, the likeable seductress princess school girl. Anyways I felt there be more in expanding this novel but the writer killed it or just tired of writing.

Yeah the author executed the harem characters really well, although I almost gave up reading it when he abandoned that poor girl in that desert world (with that wolf) and left with Meng Qing, I was like you came over, wreck their way of life, didnt lift a finger to help the village she was in, didnt explain what you were going to do, they betrayed you, and you got pissy cause of what you did to them? Ugh sometimes I hate how the authors makes the main characters look so good but when the villains do the same thing as them it isnt ok

If you average it out, it turns out the studio produces 6.33 chapters per episode, so given the novel is 2451 + 4 bonus chapters, it should roughly take 387 episodes for the entire first novel. making it 7.4 years in total, so another 6.38 years to go given that we already have watched 55 episodes :P

I know some people will disagree with me, and they are right this isnt an exact method of calculating it, it is like like I said a very rough method to calculate. The studio does make a lot of changes, and remove certain contents and adjust these contents as they adapt the novel, not to mention unpredictable things like covid lockdowns might happen, so it might take less or it might take more than 6.38 years lol
